about
We build technology
that takes sides.
We pick hard problems and build prototypes that have to survive the real world, not just a demo.
origin
“We didn't start with an idea for a product. We started with a conversation with a friend who lost their sight and still wanted to run.”
Kaindra Rizq Sachio, Team Lead
Labmino started as four of us who wanted to build something that actually mattered to someone. Not a demo. Not a thing you submit for a grade and forget. Something a real person would use, out in the world, where nothing is as tidy as a test case.
Our first instinct was general navigation. But once we spent real time with visually impaired people, a sharper problem showed up. Nobody could run on their own and feel safe doing it. The tools that existed were built for walking. That gap turned into RunSight.
RunSight was the first thing we built. The way we built it, starting from real research and treating safety as the point, is the part that stuck. It's how we work on everything now.

mission
We build technology that expands what people can do, and we start with the people it usually leaves out.
Technology isn't neutral. Every design call is a quiet decision about who a thing works for and who it doesn't. We make that call on purpose, starting from the person with the least room for error, then building outward.
And this isn't charity. It's just better engineering. Designing for the hardest case forces a precision that quietly improves the easy ones too. Building RunSight made us better at everything we've built since.
values
Human first
Every decision starts from one real person in one real situation, not a persona on a slide. We design outward from that person, not inward from the tech.
Build real things
A prototype that never leaves the lab is just a tidy guess. We test in the field, with real users, before we call anything finished.
Learn in the open
We write down what worked and what didn't. The problems we care about are bigger than one team, and what we figure out is worth more shared than kept.
Play the long game
We're not building to win a competition. We're building for whoever is still using the thing long after the judges go home, which is why RunSight keeps changing.
